GENCO Systems - IV&V Services

Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V)

IV&V is our specialization. GENCO was founded in 1994 to provide primarily IV&V services, which grew into other engineering and IT services later on. GENCO’s significant IV&V experience includes but not limited to:

   • DHS Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) IV&V
   • FAA’s En Route Automation Program (ERAM) IV&V - Read more about FAA
   • Weather and Radar Processor (WARP) IV&V
   • Integrated Terminal Weather Systems (ITWS) IV&V
   • Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Open Skies Management and Planning System (OSMAPS) IV&V

GENCO supported GAITS Inc., to provide IV&V Services to the FAA’s En Route Automation Modernization Program (ERAM is more than 2 billion dollars project for the nation’s Air Traffic Control System ). IV&V effort was about 23 million-dollar effort over a period of five years. In addition, DHS’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has selected GENCO to provide IV&V services for its portfolio of systems under a Blank Purchase Agreement (BPA) of 21 million potential value over a period of five years. We are now supporting a task order for IV&V of DHS ICE’s TECS Modernization program.

  GENCO’s IV&V always provides value:

  • Helps to deploy systems within schedule and budgets
  • Improves quality of products and processes
  • Helps management planning and decision making
  • We provide an excellent rate of return on investment, i.e. very minimal cost to retain us; will produce far better results for your program or project.

Our IV&V Services include providing IV&V support in accordance with industry best practices (ie. PMBOK, ITIL, ISO, IEEE). Our experience includes major IT projects involving varying sizes (100K SLOC to 2 million SLOC), different languages (C, Ada, C++, Fortran, Perl, Java etc.), and different platforms (IBM main frames, Sun workstations, IBM RS 6000, IBM PCs etc.).

Being in this business, GENCO maintains our proprietary “IV&V Tool Kit” which is a repository of our IV&V knowledge collected through our 20+ years of experience in this field. We have access to all applicable standards (DoD, IEEE, iCMM, PMBOK etc.), methods, techniques and tools used or available and an IV&V library containing IV&V books, articles and IV&V related material. In addition, we keep track of lessons learned in our IV&V projects. Our IV&V kit provides an enormous amount of knowledgebase to get us going very quickly. This toolkit will help us to perform on any effort much more efficiently than our competition due to our extensive experience levels.

As we are thoroughly experienced in IV&V, the likelihood of finding the suitable persons to perform IV&V is much higher. We have plenty of resources from our network of consultants or previous employees or our other business relationship entities. In addition, we are equipped with internet based job search engines such as Hot jobs, Monster.com where we can find people very easily to take care of the work assignments, delivery schedule and other responsibilities. GENCO’s president has more than 20 years of IV&V expertise; he can be brought in to provide advice on any project. Our corporate IV&V emphasis will also help to select the right individual for any new or replacement requirement.

Our IV&V Services include but are not limited to:

  • IV&V Planning
  • Full System Development Lifecycle (SLDC) IV&V
  • Requirement Management
  • Design Evaluation
  • Code Analysis (manual and automated)
